Get Involved

There are many different ways to get involved in the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.  Consider your circumstances and available time and join with us in a great cause!   Whether you are a student in law school, a practicing attorney, a retired attorney, or a stay-at-home parent who attended law school, there is a place for you in the Law Society.  Look around at the tabs on this website such as "Chapters," "Sections," "Committees," and "Service" to see where may have an interest.

A good place to start is your local chapter.  Look under the "Chapters" tab for your local chapter leadership.  Most chapters have a chair and a board with leaders that work on events, service, pro-bono opportunities, student outreach, and other areas.  There is always a need for someone to jump in and help on a local level.  If you are interested in becoming more involved with your local chapter, contact your chapter's chair.

As you develop experience and learn more about the Law Society, you may want to serve on the international level and work on a committee, such as Conference & Events, Media, Women in the Law, Sections, Service & Outreach, Finance, Technology, or the Chapters Relation Council.  Serving in this capacity also provides opportunities to learn about the legal functions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and hear about the experiences of the Church's Area Legal Counsel throughout the world.  If you are interested in serving on one of the Law Society's committees, contact the committee chair.  Contact information for each committee's chair is available on the committee's webpage under "Committees."
