Thursday January 21, 2010 Luncheon with William Atkin

The CLE lunch series continued with another well-attended and uplifting meeting in the Irish Cultural Center in downtown Phoenix. William F. Atkin is the Associate General Counsel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and shared a talk entitled: "Secularism's War Against Religions and Religious Beliefs."

Mr. Atkin is responsible for the international legal affairs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His insights concerning the challenges to the Church and its interests were compelling and interesting. His warmth and inspiring message came through clearly as he encouraged local attorneys to put their unique talents and skills to work to serve the community.

Before his presentation, William F. Atkin was introduced by local attorney Wayne Arnett. Mr. Arnett provided an insider's glimpse into the early legal career of Mr. Atkin. The two men were law school classmates at ASU's College of Law and are obviously close friends. It is no surprise to hear that Mr. Atkin was an outstanding law student and example of a righteous member of the Church.

The Irish Cultural Center in downtown Phoenix was filled to capacity again as local chapter members enjoyed good food, good conversation, and a very interesting presentation from Mr. William F. Atkin, the Associate General Counsel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
