2014 Annual Fireside

The 2014 JRCLS Annual Fireside will be held this Friday, January 31st.  Elder Bruce C. Hafen will be the speaker. The event will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. Mountain Time (rebroadcast time is 7:30 p.m. Mountain Time). We invite those able to attend in person to join us in the Little Theater of the LDS Conference Center where there will be a reception and mingling following the broadcast. Please check with your local chapter to see if a group will be watching the fireside together in your area. Chapter leaders, please contact Mary Hoagland at hoaglandm@law.byu.edu if you have questions about the fireside. If you need more information about how to watch the satellite broadcast, please contact your local stake satellite expert. The broadcast is not encrypted.


2014 Annual Conference

You can still register for the 2014 JRCLS Annual Conference will be held in Kansas City, Missouri February 13-15, 2014. To see the conference schedule and register, please visit: http://www.jrclsconference.com. There are several important LDS Historical Sites in the Kansas City area, including the Historic Liberty Jail, several sites in Independence, the Three Witnesses and Eight Witnesses Monuments, Far West, and Adam-ondi-Ahman. Speakers and presenters will include former U.S. Senator Bob Bennett, Elder Lance B. Wickman, the Missouri Attorney General, several Missouri and Kansas Supreme Court Justices, the Missouri Solicitor General James R. Layton, and many more. 


Rex Lee and Shawn Bentley Awards Luncheon

The D.C. Mid-Atlantic chapter is hosting the annual Rex Lee Advocacy Award and Shawn Bentley Public Service Award Luncheon on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at noon in Washington D.C.  United States Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan will speak at the event.  Tickets are now available for purchase.  For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit: https://www.jrclsdc.org/lunch/.
