Dear Law Society Members,
Just as the words of the familiar Christmas song express, "it's the most wonderful time of the year." On behalf of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
2014 has truly been a wonderful year for the Law Society with the Annual Fireside Broadcast featuring Elder Bruce C. Hafen, the Annual Conference in historic Kansas City, Missouri, and the Annual Leadership Conference at Brigham Young University and Aspen Grove. There have likewise been conferences in New Zealand, West Africa, and Canada, along with innumerable activities in chapters throughout the world. I am so grateful for the time and effort so many have contributed in support of the Law Society's mission.
What makes this time of year so wonderful is not only the opportunity to reflect on what has been accomplished in the past year, but also to look forward to the events of the coming year. It is a season of hope, renewal, and anticipation. Here are just a few of the events planned for 2015:
January 23rd: Annual Fireside Broadcast featuring Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett, Chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom;
February 12-14th: Annual Conference to be held in Tempe, Arizona; featuring a host of marvelous speakers (Registration is now open at http://www.jrclsconference.com); and
October 1st-2nd: Leadership Conference at BYU and Aspen Grove.
2015 will be more than just an ordinary year of wonderful events and activities. Starting with the Annual Fireside Broadcast on January 23rd, we will begin a historic Membership Drive to "build and extend" the Law Society. With so much to offer, and with such an important mission, we desire to increase not only the number of Law Society members worldwide, but also to build and extend the leadership and participation of members. We need your assistance! Will you join in this great effort by reaching out and inviting others to join the Law Society? Imagine the influence for good if our more than 12,000 members worldwide were tens of thousands of committed advocates for faith, family, and freedom.
We can do so much, both individually and collectively, to move this work forward. May the Lord bless us in this great effort.
With my warmest wishes,
Jeremiah J. Morgan
