Participate in Religious Liberty in 30 Seconds Contest

Have you wondered how you can apply Elder Robert D. Hales’ inspired counsel to “become informed” and to “join with others who share our commitment to religious freedom”?  (“Preserving Agency, Protecting Religious Freedom,” April 2015 General Conference.)  Here's an easy way to start: Participate in the J. Reuben Clark Law Society Religious Freedom Committee's Religious Liberty in 30 Seconds contest.

This contest is for anyone who treasures religious liberty and will accept the challenge to distill a message into 30 seconds.  More importantly, by participating you will help build a library of brief but powerful messages promoting religious freedom which will be shared with others.  The contest runs between now and November 30.  Full rules and contest information can be found at www.jrcls.org/30seconds and a short video about the contest can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe5cYRWZoyk.

Inspirational Thought

My plea is that we do what we can to inspire principled conduct and acceptance of responsibility, first in ourselves, next at home, and then wherever our influence extends. This is not simply for the great decisions and moments in life, but most important, in the minutiae of daily life.

—Elder D. Todd Christofferson, "Confirm Thy Soul in Self-Control," Life in the Law: Answering God's Interrogatories, 2002, 75.
