Virtue, Liberty, and Law; Rendering unto Caesar and unto God: Overview of the Inaugural Annual Conference of the UK and Ireland Chapter

The United Kingdom & Ireland Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society held its inaugural annual conference, “Virtue, Liberty and Law; Rendering unto Caesar and unto God,” at the Preston Temple site in England on June 10, 2016.The chapter was delighted to welcome Elder Dallin H. Lighting the Path for Future Lawyers: Asia Pacific Area Conference Focuses on Mentoring

The eleventh annual Asia Pacific conference of the Law Society was held in Hamilton, New Zealand in the first weekend of June, at the University of Waikato’s new law school building. Mormon Studies Program at Claremont Graduate University Hosts Religious Freedom Conference

The BYU International Center for Law and Religion Studies Hosts Third Religious Freedom Annual Review

The BYU International Center for Law and Religion Studies held its third Religious Freedom Annual Review from July 7-8, 2016. From the first year it was held, attendance has nearly tripled with over 300 people participating in this year’s conference. Read more. . .


Elder Pieper Urges: Let Your Voices Be Heard at Religious Liberty Event Hosted by Monterrey, Mexico Chapter

On May 28, 2016, Elder Paul B. Pieper of the Mexico Area Presidency was the concluding speaker to 65 attendees at a religious liberty event hosted by the recently created Monterrey Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Elder Pieper indicated that for the past 50 years, there has been an increasing tendency to elevate individual rights over societal rights. Read more. . .


United States Deputy Solicitor General Malcolm Stewart Receives Rex E. Lee Award at Luncheon Sponsored by Washington D.C. Chapter

Connecting Law Students Across the Globe: New Student Chapter Board Chair Brian Anderson Discusses Goals to Strengthen Student Chapters

The JRCLS Newsletter is pleased to include portions of an interview with Brian Anderson. Anderson currently serves as Student Chapters Board Chair over all the national and international JRCLS student chapters. Anderson, who was installed by JRCLS International Chair Ginny Isaacson in May 2016, will serve a one-year term until he graduates from UCLA Law School next May.
