JRCLS Lending Library VISION: Some chapters are able to attract interesting and influential speakers that other chapters are not. For very small chapters, the possibility of hosting major speakers may not ever be possible. By recording selected speakers and events, the Law Society can provide local chapters with a host of presentations that would otherwise not be available. Even larger chapters would benefit, assuring that each monthly luncheon had appropriate and interesting material for the event. PROGRAM: Chapters are encouraged to record appropriate presentations (assuming permission was obtained and videotaping facilities were available). Any DVD or videotape format is acceptable and the presentations will be copied on a DVD and a VHS format to share with other chapters. Chapters should be sensitive before requesting permission from a speaker to record his or her remarks that this may limit or inhibit a speaker’s candor and may result in a less compelling presentation. Chapters should also be sensitive to the possibility that some speakers may also be hostile to the idea of taping their presentation. Such sensitivities should be respected and honored. It is important that prior to recording the presentation, that the speaker execute the JRCLS Speaker Agreement. Jeremiah J. Morgan
