J. Reuben Clark Law Society

Save the Date: 6th Annual Women in the Law Prelaw Event

Each year since 2009, the Women in Law Committee of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society has hosted a prelaw event prior to the Annual Leadership Conference.  It is designed to reach out to women who are thinking about going to law school, planning to go to law school, or who may even consider the possibility at some point in the future.  Men are also invited and welcomed, but it is focused toward women pursuing a law school path.  This year’s panel will feature Christy Matelis, a third-year law student at BYU; Megan Needham, Founder of Steps Admissions Consulting; Professor Michalyn Steele of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU; and Judge Sherene Dillon of the Utah Second District Juvenile Court.  Each speaker will describe her experiences and offer advice for those considering law school.  The event is being held in Room 205 of the BYU Law School on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 7:00—8:30 p.m.  A question and answer session and refreshments will follow the presentations.  Those interested in a tour of the law school prior to the program should meet in Room 205 thirty minutes prior to the program at 6:30 p.m.
