Political & election law falls at the intersection of the rule of law and the political process. Practitioners are therefore uniquely positioned to promote the Law Society mission of striving "through public service and professional excellence to promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law." They advise clients on the complex laws governing elections and interactions with federal, state, and local government officials. These laws include those governing campaign finance, lobbying, and government ethics. The Political & Election Law Section of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society provides a channel for professionals and law students interested in, or practicing in, this dynamic, high-profile field to network, support each other, and stay on top of developments.
