Fortify the Family Workshop
The Mexico Campeche Chapter held the first ever “Fortify the Family Workshop” in January, 2024. This program, created for the JRCLS, focuses on providing parents and community members with information and resources to help create and sustain healthy families. A local psychologist donated her time and presented at the workshop, and a local legislator in the area also attended.
Prior to the workshop, JRCLS members approached administrators at local elementary and secondary schools about the program, which was well-received. Ongoing community partnerships have developed as a result of the workshop as people of different faiths gathered to discuss the importance of creating and maintaining families of all kinds for the benefit of children.
